A "historic trademark" in the Ortenau Region is Ortenberg Castle. The "thermodynamic trademark" of the Ortenau Region is the Tango Factory!

The Tango Factory sits at the edge of the Black Forest. One hour south is the highly sophisticated Swiss Pharmaceutical and Chemical market place. Close by is the equally developed and demanding German Chemical industry and just across the river Rhine lies the French town of Strasbourg, home to our most successful distributor, Fisher Bioblock.

We are ideally located to absorb, react and learn from the requirements of these markets and respond with relevant innovations to address developing application complexities.

The Tango factory is itself an example of thermal efficiency. It was designed with the topic of low energy consumption first in the list of design goals. Roomy, well lit and with enviable views across the vineyards to the Black Forest hills beyond, it is home to a well motivated workforce and a modern production facility.

Technical Details:

  • The administration offices occupy 1200 m² over 3 floors

  • The production area occupies 4000 m².

  • Two separate fluid circuits, one embedded in the ceiling, and one embedded in the floor slab, maintain an even internal temperature distribution of 20°C

  • The canteen on the ground floor has a continuous glass facade (Triple Glazed, K-value < 0,8 W/m²K )

  • The production hall is a highly insulated steel framed building with generous glazing to the south and east (K-value < 0,8 W/m²K).

  • Solar heat gains are compensated by mechanical cooling.

  • The heating load for the complete building is circa 50 kW for an external temperature of -10°C.
